Inhabiting its own space within The Prosthetics Event beside Hall 3, The Monster Mash is a gathering place for fans and aficionados of monsters and makeup FX in films, television, concept design, mask making, collectables, fine art and much more!
It celebrates work from a diverse range of artists from award-winners to industry aspirers and everyone in between.
The Application Station Competition in Hall 3 showcases the work of 10 exciting up-and-coming artists who apply full-scale prosthetic makeups in their own dedicated area, and compete for Best Newcomer and Best Overall Makeup prizes.
Check back throughout the day to see their progress and ask them about their techniques and materials of choice.
The Education Stage in Hall 4 seats 150 people and is our platform for professional techniques, tricks and tips, and intimate, focussed discussions with industry artists.
This stage gets very busy, so please arrive early to ensure you get a seat!
The stage in the 600-seater lecture theatre features a back-to-back education schedule of demos, discussions and seminars. This is where we make the Prize Draws and close the event with the Body Art Catwalk.
The demonstrations on this stage are very popular and seats are on a first-come-first-served basis, so please get there early for the talk you want to see!
The Body Art Zone in Hall 3 brings colour and a sense of carnival to the event, and this year it\'s competitive! The artists will paint all day and incorporate prosthetics into their work. Their incredible creations will be shown on the Main Stage in the Body Art Catwalk at around 4.45pm before the winner is announced.
Check back throughout the day to watch these large-scale, intricate works develop.
