Cat discovered face painting whilst teaching science in zoos, and in 2007 became UK Professional Face Painter of the Year and 5th in the World Awards.
Later as one of the UK’s few full-time residential face painters, she annually trained and lead 40 artists decorating many of the Hong Kong Rugby 7’s 40,000 fans.
This led her into body art, where she won most of the UK body and glitter competitions and was a World finalist. Jennie Roberts then hired Cat to teach rainbow butterflies; the pair became great friends and Jennie picked up a love of the art. Cat was advisor and promo artist for the 1st Paintopia, and helped shape it into the internationally recognised event it has become, known for showcasing model welfare and best practice. As Paintopia’s lead tutor and demo artist, Cat teaches and paints at industry events, fashion shows, festivals and colleges all over the UK and Europe.
Cat has been on the committee of the International Face Painting Association for years, trying to raise the industry’s profile and standards.
Her art often contains bright colours, stencilled textures, freehand glitter tattoo accents, and a wildlife or educational theme.
