Anthony Davies is well and truly part of the event stable, having done complex prosthetic application demos every year whilst providing an ongoing technical Q&A for those watching.
After attending the Makeup FX and Prosthetics Creation course at Gorton Studio in 2010, Anthony continued to pursue his hobby of special FX makeup. Creating a portfolio of pieces to show at Monsterpalooza turned into starting work for Millennium FX as a freelancer in 2013. Since then he has been working closely with Neill Gorton as part of a small team in his development workshop in Cornwall, helping develop products for Neill’s Materials, MFX Warehouse and of course sculpting and moulding character prosthetics for industry jobs.
Anthony’s screen credits include films such as ‘Victor Frankenstein’ and ‘The Forest’ and his work can be seen on TV in shows like ‘Nurse’, ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’, ‘Wizards vs Aliens’, ‘The Tracey Ullman Show’, ‘Red Dwarf XI and XII’, ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’, ‘Urban Myths’ and ‘Doctor Who’, in commercials for Aviva and Paddy Power and in theatres in ‘The Catherine Tate Show Live’.
Look out for a step-by-step tutorial by Anthony in issue #8 of Prosthetics Magazine.
