The Education stage in Hall 4 seats 150 people and is our platform for professional techniques, tricks and tips, and intimate, focussed discussions with industry artists. This stage gets very busy, so please arrive early to ensure you get a seat for the sessions you want to see!

This stage is also home to the Tutors’ Forum, a unique and invaluable opportunity for those involved in the teaching and technical support of prosthetics/makeup FX in HE and FE settings.

All tutors and technical staff are welcome; no need to book a place.

The hour-long session will be chaired by Richard McEvoy Crompton, Programme Leader of Special Effects for Film and TV at the University of Bolton’s Centre for Film FX, and Neill Gorton, Partner in MA Prosthetic Effects at Falmouth University’s School of Film and Television.

This year’s discussion topics are:

DIGITAL FUTURE: how the demand for digital skills in prosthetics will change teaching
ONLINE LEARNING: with the need to deliver more content online, what is actually practical and realistic for us to deliver?
TUTOR GROUP: discussion about creating an online forum for tutors to offer each other help and support
OPEN FORUM: any topics

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part this! The time of the session will be posted as part of the Education Stage schedule near the date of the Event.

The Education Stage is sponsored by the University of Bolton Centre for Film FX
