2021 BODY ARTISTS
The Body Art Zone is returning in Hall 2 for TPE 2021!
This year we’re delighted to be teaming up with BodyFactory, an event that
encourages collaboration between body painters, models and photographers to create incredible and unique artwork.
Once again, we’re adding a competitive element to bring extra fun!
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
With places for up to twelve entrants, the competition is open to body artists with any level of experience who must incorporate a prosthetic into their work and will be judged on these criteria:
- Quality of the overall design
- Effectiveness of incorporating a prosthetic into the design
- The overall execution of finished body art including all elements
Entries will be presented in the Body Art Catwalk on the Main Stage at 4.45 pm, after which the winner will be announced – the prize is a great bundle of products from our retail exhibitors.
The Body Art Zone always buzzes with high-octane creativity and the creations are always extraordinary – keep checking back as the day unfolds to see their progress.
Good luck everyone!

Cheryl predominantly works as a professional face painter; however, for the past few years she has relished adding SFX elements to her creations, to help bring them to life. No stranger to the field of competing, Cheryl is a previous winner of the Pro Beauty North Body Paint competition, as well as taking second place in the Gibraltar SFX Face Paint Comp.
Currently a student at University College Birmingham, Justyna is studying Specialist Hair and Media Makeup, specialising in prosthetics as her main module. She admits that she is still fairly new to body art, however Justyna has honed her craft, working across bridal and editorial makeup, as well as on various short films and music videos.
Cat has been painting professionally since 2000, winning an impressive number of awards over the years. She loves creating intricate, colourful art, often with a nod to her former career which was working in science / field studies. Cat likes designs which she describes as slightly sinister, but beautiful; designs that can educate. She also makes her own stencils and – mainly paper – prosthetics (so they are recyclable). Cat prefers Cameleon paints, and only uses eco cosmetic glitters.
Having worked with companies such as the BBC, Norwich Fashion Week and English National Opera, Shelley has also won awards for her face and body painting, including 3rd place in the Professional Body Painting Category at Warpaint Beauty Awards at the ExCel in London. She is qualified in Level 3 Media Makeup and Hairdressing and has a B.A. (Level 6) in Media Makeup, Special Effects, Hair and Wigs for TV, Film and Theatre Arts from Bournemouth University.
Nicola has been a professional body painter since 2008 and loves the ability to create on the human canvas. She is well known in the industry, teaching nationally, including for Gorton Studio. Nicola has also attended international events, taking first place at the Gibraltar Body Painting Festival in 2016. She is the founder and director of Body Factory, the international body painting festival that is usually held in Cornwall.
Linda is an artist by nature, as well as professionally – being creative is what makes her tick! Linda says that over the years she has painted on pretty much every surface available, however the human body remains her favourite canvas. She feels honoured and grateful to be able to work in a field that she loves so much.
Angela has been painting for many years and has won awards both in the UK and abroad. Together with her model husband, she spent lockdown practicing their art and doing numerous online tutorials as well as making a proper work studio in their garden. They are looking forward to catching up with friends and enjoying The Prosthetics Event!
Fresh from Dolly Parton’s UK Tour of ‘9 to 5 The Musical’, Suzanna has been busy working as Deputy and Head of Wigs, Hair & Makeup for the fabulous show, but has really missed getting creative with body paint and SFX makeup.
Pre-lockdown, Suzanna has worked on many large-scale live performances from New York Fashion week to The Life Ball and World Bodypainting Festivals in Austria, and more recently was honoured to lead a team of award-winning British body painters to airbrush DUA LIPA’S dancers for the Calvin Harris Show at The BRIT AWARDS.
Suzanna has demonstrated at The Prosthetics Event for iconic makeup brands, Neill’s Materials and KRYOLAN and in the Body Art Zone, as well as BEN NYE Makeup and International makeup Artist Einat Dan at IMATS.
With a diverse and varied background in makeup, SFX, hair and body paint artistry Suzanna loves to mix up her skills whether working in 3D, on paper, or the human canvas. She is back this year to compete in the BodyFactory Body Art Competition, bringing her unique and innovative creative style. So long as it is artistic, she loves it all…
